People building Sovereign Logic Systems

Jon Spencer founded Sovereign Logic Systems LLC to develop technology focused on information continuity, resilient systems, and critical-information availability under degraded or interrupted conditions.

He leads the company’s strategic direction and the development of MED CLOUD CIPHER™ — Critical Information Preservation, Handoff & Emergency Retrieval — an emerging technology program focused on preserving access to bounded critical patient information when conventional information pathways may be unavailable, inaccessible, degraded, or interrupted.

His role includes shaping the problem definition, product architecture, research direction, operational use cases, and long-term development strategy for Sovereign Logic Systems and MED CLOUD CIPHER™.

James brings extensive experience in the end-to-end design, implementation, and certification of high-performance real-time embedded systems (RTOS), spanning airborne, naval, ground, and space environments.

His technical background is built on an Arizona State University B.S.E. foundation and includes lifecycle engineering for mission-critical Department of Defense and commercial aerospace projects. His experience encompasses complex systems where reliability, architecture, integration, and operational performance are central engineering requirements.

Kenneth Tidwell serves as Director of Research & Clinical Research Operations for Sovereign Logic Systems LLC, supporting the translation of MED CLOUD CIPHER™ engineering questions into structured research, operational requirements, and real-world healthcare and emergency-care workflows.

His professional background includes clinical-research site and operations leadership, study startup, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), HIPAA-related research operations, protocol execution, quality control, CAPA processes, source documentation, data integrity, patient recruitment and informed consent, monitoring activities, staff training, and sponsor and regulatory coordination.

Kenneth holds an Associate’s degree in Biology from Glendale Community College and is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Biology at Arizona State University. His role within SLS includes research operations, healthcare and EMS stakeholder engagement, implementation requirements, external research collaboration, and supporting the company’s planned NIH/NLM research-development pathway.

Kevin Yonan supports MED CLOUD CIPHER™ engineering development with a focus on embedded systems, persistent storage, instrumentation, timing, power and reserve-energy analysis, and quantitative Prototype 1 evaluation.

He is pursuing a B.S.E. in Computer Engineering at Arizona State University, with an expected graduation date of December 2027. His technical background includes C/C++, Python, assembly, digital logic, circuit analysis, computer architecture, embedded systems, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and related development and debugging tools.

Kevin’s experience includes an embedded-software internship through the Arizona Space Grant Consortium/NASA Space Grant program, where he implemented satellite-telemetry control behavior for a high-altitude balloon payload and worked with GNSS, sensor and flight-status data for satellite transmission and persistent EEPROM logging.
